Voucher Expansion Districts Could Take a 'Significant' Financial Hit

Legislative Fiscal Bureau reports that $7.9 million in state aid would be redistributed

April 16, 2013

According to a memo from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB), the nine districts targeted by Gov. Scott Walker for expansion of the voucher program could see a significant amount of state aid go out the door.

The LFB reports that $7.9 million in state aid would be redistributed to other districts in the state while the nine districts lose funding. Specifically, 324 districts would receive more state aid, 91 would be unchanged, and the 9 mentioned previously would lose significant funding.

Read the memo.
